Substack feels like the perfect space to invite you into the heart of my creative world—a place where art happens in real-time, raw and unpolished, and the unpredictable rhythms of the creative process. Here, I'll share my creative process, works in progress, snapshots of inspiration, my favorite art supplies, and little videos capturing the joy (and sometimes chaos) of creating.

Substack is a separate platform from the Artist Collective. As a subscriber, you have two options: one is free, or for a closer look inside my studio practice, there is a $6.00 per month subscription price. You'll receive these moments in your inbox, like stepping into the studio with me, coffee in hand, ready to explore what's next.

Why Open Studio?

I want to open the door to my studio and share my creative life's honest, unpolished rhythm. It is more about Renee the Artist and less about Renee the teacher. But that is not to say the two don't occasionally come together and try to figure things out.

• FREE Subscription - You'll receive occasional updates in an email to inform you about news: posts, glimpses into my studio life, and snapshots of inspiration from my perspective.

• Paid Subscription – For $6/month, step deeper into my evolving practice. I will open the doors to my studio and share the artistic process in its most personal and authentic form through video, demos, and photography. Think of it as pulling up a chair beside me, coffee in hand, for an intimate look at the evolving landscape of my artistic life.

Art is an extension of our thoughts, experiences, and emotions. Navigating this terrain can be filled with unexpected detours, breakthroughs, and moments of stillness where we reconnect with parts of ourselves we didn't realize needed attention. In these quiet pauses, we often uncover the more profound stories and emotions that shape our work, reminding us why we create in the first place.

By opening my studio to you, I hope to inspire you and remind you that we all share similar challenges in expressing ourselves through art. Creativity can feel personal, but it's in those shared experiences that we find encouragement, growth, and artistic freedom.
